Forget yachts, private jets and cars, doomsday bunkers are the ultimate flex these days.
And it’s easy to see why, too, because some of them look tremendous.

Celebrities and ultra-powerful CEOs regularly have these giant doomsday bunkers built for themselves.
Sometimes in secret, and sometimes out in the open.
Even Mark Zuckerberg is building one, and it’s going to cost him around $270 million.
But why?
Conspiracy theorists would likely claim that they know something we don’t, which by definition is sometimes probably true.
However, the truth is they probably simply ran out of things to spend money on.
After all, there’s only so much money you can spend on things like personal security or private jets.
Most of these bunkers are built using nature as a key component of their structure.
Some are carved into the side of a mountain and most are underground.
Other bunkers are built using abandoned facilities.
That’s the case of this nuclear missile silo that has been converted into a luxury doomsday bunker.
In an undisclosed location in Kansas, this 54,000-square-foot, 15-story building is the ultimate underground bunker.
The first indication that this is a zombie apocalypse-style bunker is the main door, which weighs over 50 tons and is blast-proof.
The bunker was first built during the Cold War and it is designed to withstand a direct nuclear missile hit.
It is designed to supply shelter and food for up 75 people, and for up to five years.
In addition to the large storage room, the bunker also has a gym, a game room, and even a swimming pool.
There are 14 living units, but most of them are already sold.
And they’re not cheap.
The smallest units available, which are basically the size of a hotel room, start at $500,000.
Meanwhile, the largest unit – a three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit that takes up an entire floor – costs $3 million.
