One man had the foresight to buy 200 Land Rovers in 2015 and he is now getting offered hundreds of thousands of dollars just to sell one.
Meet Charles Fawcett, founder of Twisted — a company specializing in bespoke modified Land Rover Defenders.
In 2015, Fawcett decided to bulk buy the largest stockpile of the ‘last of the line’ undriven Defenders.
Now, people are offering him large sums just to buy one of his custom-made vehicles.

According to Fawcett, he went to the Defender production line at Solihull to meet the men and women building the vehicles.
“They were all registered in 2016 – after production ceased – identifying them among the last off the line and, arguably, more collectible,” he said.
Since the production of these cars halted in 2016, their value has only gone up since then.
People are now willing to spend up to £220,000 ($274,700) on just one of these custom-made vehicles.
However, you can get the highest 2024 Land Rover Defender spec for cheaper than that. But it won’t be as much special.
Fawcett’s company has been working through the Land Rovers they have in storage and are now offering another 16 to potential buyers.

Seeing Fawcett’s entire Land Rover collection is quite a sight for sore eyes.
The last time we saw a collection this huge was when a YouTuber discovered a breathtaking collection of classic Range Rovers in England.
“These sixteen 110s were hand-picked for their chassis numbers and build dates,” said Fawcett
“They’re special, and when twisted, each one is the only one. Hence the limited run is called One of One,” he added.
All of them are also based on the original XS spec, the highest Land Rover Defender spec at the time.
Plus they only have 30 miles on the clock, which is another great factor for collectors.
