After snapping up 240 Land Rover Defenders, Twisted Automotive has already proven its ability to turn rugged icons into serious cash, and now it’s set its sights on Range Rover Classics.
The company’s founder, Charles Fawcett, went viral for that massive Defender purchase, which came just as production of the original model ended.
By restoring and reengineering them into high-performance cars, Twisted tapped into soaring demand and transformed a stockpile into a highly profitable venture.
That success laid the groundwork for its next ambitious project.

Only 12 would be built every year
Enter the TRRC, the company’s first reinterpretation of the original Range Rover Classic.

This isn’t just a simple restoration.
Instead, the company promises a full-scale reimagining of the early two-door model that first appeared in 1070.
Only 12 examples would be built each year, with every car tailored to its owner.
In fact, demand was so strong that the 2026 production run was already sold out.
While other companies had explored the same territory, Twisted Automotive leaned into what it did best: performance.

At the heart of the TRRC sat a 500hp V8 derived from the Chevrolet Corvette and Chevrolet Camaro, paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The result was a classic SUV that delivered modern levels of power and handling, while still preserving the relaxed, comfortable character that made the original so beloved.
The company previously turned its Land Rover Defenders into serious profit
The exterior blended decades of Range Rover design into one cohesive look.
It featured the clean simplicity of the 1970s front end alongside styling cues inspired by later models, all crafted from hand-formed aluminium.
Inside, the cabin received a major upgrade with premium leather, plush carpeting, and modern touches like heated seats and improved infotainment.

Better soundproofing and sealing also helped elevate refinement far beyond the original.
For Fawcett, the project carried a personal touch.
He recalled childhood memories of his father’s modified two-door Range Rover, a distinctive build that left a lasting impression.
That sense of nostalgia played a big role in shaping the TRRC, blending emotion with engineering precision.
Having already turned Land Rover Defenders into a viral business success, Twisted Automotive showed it was far from done.
With the TRRC, the company aims to prove that even the most familiar icons could be reinvented.
