This secret underground garage includes a hidden driveway, DIY garage layout, and concrete construction strong enough to support full-size vehicles.
Built beneath a typical suburban home, the garage was the result of more than a year of intense planning, problem-solving, and physical labor.
Every stage required balancing technical accuracy with home-built solutions that could handle structural loads.
The result is a nearly invisible entrance to an incredible functional underground workspace.

The project was documented on YouTube by @colinfurze, who started by excavating beside his house to create a tunnel system that would lead into the main chamber.
That chamber would become the underground garage, but first required structural steel beams, an intricate rebar layout, and a slab design that could support the weight of a vehicle.
Each piece of rebar was custom-bent and marked according to a complex engineering diagram, forming an interlocked grid that tied walls, roof, and floor into a unified structure.
This mesh of concrete construction was the foundation of the hidden garage’s strength.
In order to support the structure during the concrete pour, dozens of acrow props were installed and reinforced with fabricated steel beams.

Over 50 tons of concrete were delivered and poured in a single day, forming the roof slab without any seams or joins.
After curing, the slab was tested using a Toyota Hilux, which drove over it without causing flex, movement, or any signs of stress.
That successful test confirmed the engineering integrity of the hidden driveway and proved the slab could handle daily use.
As construction progressed, several major challenges had to be overcome.
These included rerouting a live gas line, installing drainage, setting up a ventilation system, and embedding electrical conduit for future power needs.

The builder used a variety of DIY methods to move heavy scaffold towers, fabricate fittings, and solve real-time problems on-site.
Despite the complexity, the DIY garage was successfully sealed, surfaced, and restored to match the neighborhood aesthetic.
After surfacing the top slab and restoring the garden, attention turned to interior details.
The final stages of the secret underground garage included a hydraulic car lift and fire-rated access doors.
A steel fence was fabricated and installed to replace the original wood design, offering better durability while preserving the look of the surrounding homes.
The garage is now fully concealed beneath a finished driveway, blending in with the environment while hiding an impressive structure below.

The secret underground garage built by @colinfurze stands out not just for its ambition, but for the execution of a vision few homeowners would attempt.
With a hidden driveway, a DIY garage design, and concrete construction that rivals commercial builds, this project reflects a mix of hands-on effort and technical precision.
While the structure is now complete, the final installations will turn the space into a fully operational underground facility.
It is a remarkable achievement in engineering, creativity, and perseverance.
