This man bought a $200,000 supercar from Alibaba and he claims that what happened next was extraordinary.

YouTuber Slevin the Goat was choosing between five options on the Chinese online marketplace.

It was struggle to find a seller who was willing to ship into the US.

But once he did, he made the purchase – and disaster struck.

Buying cars off Alibaba is nothing new

If there’s one thing you can count on Alibaba for, it’s an interesting array of random cars.

There are tons of duplicates floating around on there, which would cost you a lot less than the real deals.

Take this $6,000 fake Audi as proof of that.

That’s cheap, right?

That’s nothing compared to the ‘cheapest new car in the world’, which only cost one customer $930 to order.

Admittedly, the cheap prices don’t account for much compared to the genuine article, as this race between a Range Rover and its knock-off clearly showed.

But that’s a compromise for you – you get something of a poorer quality for a way cheaper price.

So we can’t help but wonder what the upside was in ordering a $200,000 car off Alibaba.

Surely you’d just go to a dealership at that point?

At any rate, Slevin the Goat wanted to buy one off Alibaba and finally found one that could be shipped to the US.

He was planning to do a multi-part series on YouTube to take his subscribers through the buying process.

His first video was released in July 2024, and then many months of inactivity followed.

In March 2025, he broke his silence.

Being scammed out of $200,000

In the long awaited sequel to his original video, Slevin revealed he’d been scammed in the whole exchange.

“I got scammed big time. I bought a $200,000 car, and guess what? It never showed up,” he said.

“Months of fighting to get my refund, it was a nightmare!”

He vowed to tell the full story of what happened in an upcoming video, set to drop on his channel soon.

In the meantime, he asked his followers to share their own experiences of being scammed online.

Maybe he’ll be able to make the best of a bad situation, like this man who was scammed out of $31k on an electric sports car from China.
