This YouTuber impulsively bought a broken Rolls-Royce for $26k and realized he was getting more than he bargained for.

LegitStreetCars bought the car 1,000 miles away from home – and had one day to repair it.

The plan was to drive this 1961 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II down to the Amelia Island Concours show.

With the clock ticking, the pressure was on to get this car road ready.

How much work did this Rolls-Royce need before it could hit the road?

From the outside, the car is a model of reliability and class.

Its ornament is neatly in place, and the exterior shines under the garage lights.

But don’t be deceived, this car’s internal mechanics needed some tinkering with.

It could always be worse – at least he wasn’t trying to fix this Dodge Coronet which left one man admitting it was too big a job for him.

When the Rolls-Royce is in motion, it made a lot of sputtering noises and the brakes were essentially non-existent.

A puddle underneath the car confirmed that a brake fluid leak had occurred.

However, changing out the oil filter turned out to be the hardest job of the day.

The host is left with oil stains up his hands and arms, but he got the job done.

How was the car received online?

When it came time to show off the car, he got a good reception from his fellow enthusiasts.

At the Concours Show, he didn’t get to park it alongside the other Rolls-Royces.

It did sit alongside an extremely small car that the host joked could fit in the boot of his.

The tiny Trident may almost be as teensy as the Peel P50, known as the world’s smallest car on Earth.

Viewers online had an overwhelmingly positive reaction to the Rolls-Royce itself.

One person commented: “This thing is AWESOME! What an interesting and fun project!”

Another said: “Good to see you smile no matter what you are driving, a man that loves cars.”
