Take a look at this stunning, hand-crafted Ford GT that has been made entirely out of wood and looks identical to the real deal, right down to the smallest details.

The Ford GT was made by Belgian artist and furniture designer Olivier De Schrijver, and he’s done a tremendous job.

The 1:1 scale GT features opening doors, wooden bucket seats, and even has a carefully carved Ford badge splashed across the front.

And if you think it wood look great in your collection, then you’re in luck, because it’s recently been placed up for sale in Florida.

No detail has been missed on the carefully crafted wooden Ford GT

The Ford GT is an automotive icon originally built between 2005 and 2006.

The GT is on the wish-list of gearheads around the world, but with just 4,038 examples made, getting your hands on one isn’t an easy task.

However, if you’re not too fussy about the car actually being able to drive, then you might be interested in this full-sized wooden replica.

The faux-Ford has a sculpted body and luxe-looking interior, all constructed from wood, and it’s a truly mind-blowing feat of craftsmanship.

The car took De Schrijver around 4,000 hours to build, and no detail has been overlooked, from its carefully carved headlights and taillights to its realistic-looking cabin and steering wheel.

The wooden car sits on – you’ve guessed it – spoked-wooden tires.

In fact, the only place you won’t spot any timber is the acrylic windshield and side windows, and the black carpets that cover the floor.

To make it easier to move about, the car rolls on two steel axles with steerable front wheels.

It was bought by its current owner just last month and has since been placed up for sale on Bring A Trailer with no reserve.

At the moment of typing, the top bid sat at $17,000.

Wood you believe it’s not the only timber-based car out there?

While not exactly common, this neat-looking Ford GT isn’t the only wooden car out there.

Last year, a 1:1 wooden Bentley Continental GT popped up for sale on eBay with a $98,000 price tag.

Meanwhile, carpenter and YouTuber ND Woodworking Art has built an entire fleet of wooden vehicles, including a Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, a Ferrari GTA 250, and a Tesla Cybertruck.

Not only does the collection of cars look the part, but they’re also fully drivable.
