A man has taken to browsing eBay for second-hand planes.

But despite the cheap offerings, it seems they might be too good to be true.

In fact, he’s even issued a warning urging people not to fall into particular traps.

This is what you should look out for.

A fairly cheap shopping spree – considering the contents

If you fancy yourself a keen flyer or even just want to get to your ideal destination in record breaking time, eBay could be the answer.

The resell site houses second-hand airplanes in various conditions.

But one creator, Swiss001, has warned against tempting fate with offers that appear too good.

He started browsing eBay for a cheap jet to cruise the skies in, and was surprised by the sheer volume of aircraft.

After a bit of a scroll on eBay and Controller, he found some that seemed fairly purchase worthy.

One jet, the 1980 Learjet 25D, usually costs $2,900 to rent, but he found it available to buy for infinite use on eBay for $295,000.

Another plane, a Mooney M20, was also readily available to buy on the resell site, and for a snappable price, too.

But, after looking inside the aircraft online, he said it looked so sad that he could ‘imagine dying there’.

“It doesn’t really have the most modern avionics, but who needs that,” he said.

The Mooney M20 was available to buy for just $47,000.

It has a rich history too, with the first Mooney M20 taking to the airways in September of 1953.

But when he delved a little deeper, it seemed none of the offerings were quite up to scratch.

Second-hand plane for less than a new Tesla

He described another aircraft as ‘pretty small and pretty miserable’, adding that he ‘wouldn’t want to buy that to be very honest’.

Another aeroplane was on sale for a mere $26,000- less than a flashy brand new Tesla.

They all appeared to be in ok condition, but when he did a bit more digging, some serious issues became evident.

Perhaps the worst one on offer was a plane by the name of ‘Storch’ because the exhaust was visible hanging down.
