This man kayaked to a long forgotten abandoned yacht in New Jersey and climbed aboard.
YouTuber Two Feet Outdoors paid a visit to a deserted yacht sitting in the middle of a creek along the South River.
It is believed that this was the Blue Jacket, a 110 ft. steel yacht made back in 1957.
The boat is a long way from its glory days, but it was still seriously cool to see it explored after so long.

While we’re used to seeing yachts in their best condition, a fair few run-down vessels have made their way online in recent years.
While it’s sad to see such magnificent boats in such bad shape, it’s fascinating when somebody gets to take a look around one that hasn’t been touched in a long time.

Some people buy them with the hopes of restoring them, like this guy who secured one from Facebook Marketplace or this couple who bought a barnacle covered yacht for $57k.
Some have had remarkable success with such ventures, as this family discovered when they turned a deserted boat into a luxury escape within 16 months.
But for others, run-down ships are an opportunity to explore – as a pair of buddies found when they boarded one sitting in a New Jersey river.
Funnily enough, abandoned boats in the rivers of the Garden State appear to be fairly common.
Two Feet Outdoors took to the South River in a kayak to take a look at what appeared to be the Blue Jacket.

Built back in 1957, the Blue Jacket was a 110 ft. steel yacht that somehow ended up being dumped along the mudflats.
Safe to say, the Blue Jacket was looking dilapidated.
We wouldn’t want to go onboard at night, let’s just say that.
The structure seemed pretty stable at least, even though it was far from its glory days.
Things were looking pretty shabby on the inside too, with the main cabin looking as though it’d gone through a storm.

Some parts of the interior were extremely hard to access due to crumbling floors.
In one room, the ceiling appeared to have collapsed.
It’s sad to see what the Blue Jacket has become and we can’t help but imagine what a fun place it would have been back in the day.
It certainly has the space to have hosted some great parties in its time.
