This man put a Tesla Model 3 with 217,000 miles up against a Model 3 with only 2,900 miles on the clock.
When it comes to mileage, bigger certainly doesn’t mean better.
But one YouTuber wanted to see how much of a difference it really made to the Tesla vehicles.
In the battle of low mileage versus high mileage, which Tesla Model 3 would come out on top?

We’ve seen a lot of extremes when it comes to car mileages.
We’ve seen some with very few miles on the clock – like this 1976 Chevrolet or even Nicki Minaj’s Bentley Continental.
And then on the opposite end of the spectrum, we’ve seen some cars that have racked up a lot of miles.
One Canadian taxi driver drove his Plymouth Fury for over one million miles, whilst a Greek cabbie took his Mercedes over three million.

The Tesla Model 3 featured in Rsymons’ YouTube video doesn’t have an odometer count that high, but it’s still substantial.
The YouTuber pitted a Model 3 with 217,000 miles against one that only had 2,900 and revealed how they compared.
Let’s take a look at the low miler first.
“It really is as brand new from the outside,” the YouTuber said.
“I can’t even see a stone chip on it, it really is mint clean.”
Things were just as good on the inside.
Wherever you looked, the word ‘smooth’ was being used, whether that be for the steering wheel or the seats.

Even with 2,900 miles on it, this car still looked as if it’d just rolled off the lot of a dealership.
How would the other car – nicknamed ‘Miles’ – compare?
Considering its heftier mileage, it hadn’t faired too badly.
“There are a few stone chips [on the outside],” he said.
“But for 217,000 miles, it looks pretty good.”
Miles was used as a taxi, which explained why it was such a heavy hitter at the odometer.
It’s definitely been well used, and the wrinkles on the steering wheel speak to that.

Considering how many people must have sat in this car over the years, it’s not looking half bad.
But here’s the real question – how did these Model 3s compare when it came to a battery test?
The low mileage Model 3 had 99.5 percent of its capacity remaining, which is near perfect.
And Miles?
It had 88.5 percent.

That’s obviously lower than the other, but pretty good on the whole.
Honestly, we reckon most people would have guessed a figure way lower than that.
