This man was offered a lucrative deal that could let him have a 1967 Ford Thunderbird for free — if he managed to rescue it from the extra-secure traps of nature.

By that, we mean the car was in the middle of the woods for 30 years and had all sorts of otherworldly things growing inside and all around it.

Now, nobody would want to miss out on a free Ford Thunderbird, and how hard could it be?

It was quite the task, and this man naturally jumped on the opportunity to get the stuck muscle car out of its misery.

Man finds 1967 Ford Thunderbird stuck by nature

Canada-based Alex Archbull, who runs a family antique shop, received an email about a stuck car.

It mentioned that he could have the car for free if he could get it out of there successfully.

Now, any antique collector would gladly take on the challenge of rescuing a classic car, which Archbull also did.

He further documented the entire thing in a video posted on YouTube, and it was a respectable effort.

The video showed him getting to the stuck Thunderbird with his friend in a pickup and a trailer to take the car back home.

The Ford Thunderbird is as rare as it gets and sometimes pops up in great barn finds.

As soon as the duo arrived at the location, the Ford’s first impressions weren’t that great.

It was completely covered with moss and vegetation on the outside, and some parts of the exterior were ruined by rust and living organisms.

The interior, however, appeared to be in immaculate condition, so things were promising.

Its unique steering wheel that matched the white interior was also completely functional.

Rescuing and taking it home

Further, the duo attached a chain from the trailer to the car’s winch and tried jerking the Ford Thunderbird out of its grounded position.

After several tries, the trick worked, and it was loaded onto the trailer.

They had successfully acquired a free — and very iconic — classic muscle car.

It was then time to give it a thorough power wash to get the exterior cleaned up.

Jump to a while later, the original paint shined once again.

What’s more, the exterior chrome still had a respectable amount of glare left in it.

Overall, it was a restoration-worthy car and could be formidable again — given that it goes to the right hands.

If it does, it will certainly be a show-off-worthy ride at most car shows.
