A mystery man from California has come up with a simple yet genius way to save his multi-million dollar car collection from the LA wildfires.
Imagine going to your local shopping center and seeing a hoard of classics and modern exotics parked next to a McDonalds.
That’s exactly what happened to these unsuspecting locals in Calabasas this week.
And luckily for us, they whipped out their cameras to document the surprise collection.

Man’s clever idea saves his cars from LA wildfire
The car collection, which included a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing, was found parked at a local shopping center in Calabasas, California.
A video on TikTok shows the cars sitting outside a McDonalds.
“Local shops being used as storage,” the person behind the camera can be heard saying.
“How many millions are we looking at just parked right here.”
The LA wildfire has already affected more than 40,000 acres of land.
People have been evacuating the area in mass, and some are even using their Tesla’s Bioweapon Defense Mode to stay safe.
Mysterious car collection
This mystery car collection is nothing to sneeze at as it includes a vintage Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing.
This car was so iconic that French coachbuilder Saoutchik built a modern iteration of the classic car.
Other than that, the collection also includes a Ferrari F430 and a Mercedes 190SL Convertible.
We have to give some credit to the owner for his quick thinking.

The area is filled with half a dozen security cameras plus it’s a public area, which offers a sense of security.
So, the owner knew what they were doing.
Fortunately for this collection, the cars were quickly moved and weren’t left abandoned in the supermarket parking lot like these supercars in underground parking lots all over LA.
