A YouTuber has explained why a $211,000 Porsche Panamera sports car that now costs a fraction of its original price is a financial trap, despite being a 1-of-1 car.
Porschemode recently had a Porsche Exclusive build from 2012 come into the shop for some work, allowing the team to do a deep dive on the car.
Usually, bespoke and exclusive cars would be worth their weight in gold and more than capable of increasing in value as the years go on.
However, this is not the case here, as this one has had its price slashed over the years and was actually a financial trap.
What exclusive Porsche is this sports car?
The car in question is a 2012 Porsche Panamera Turbo S, but it’s not your ordinary example.
There is over $40,500 worth of upgrades on the sports car, including the V8 engine and interior changes.
It is a bit of a mystery, but under the hood is a biturbo V8 engine making 570hp, with the seven-speed PDK transmission.
The car is also all-wheel drive, another positive for the Panamera.

There are all sorts of other options added, such as adaptive cruise control with lane change.
The interior has also had the full carbon pack added, plus various other options to help hike the price up.
Why the Panamera S is a financial trap
This Porsche is certainly an excellent car, but it’s not without its pitfalls.
A lot of mechanical work needed to be done on it, which added to the overall bill.
But the biggest shock is how much the car’s value dropped.
From a retail price of over $211,000, the Porsche is now worth just $33,635.
It has massively depreciated over the years, despite being a 1-of-1 with a mysterious past.
Plus, with regular services needed and big maintenance bills, it’s not a cheap car to run.
The guys at the Porschemode workshop found issues with the front brakes and other mechanical components.
It is incredible just how much the value of this Porsche has dropped, despite having less than 100,000 miles on the clock.
That showed us just how much of a financial trap expensive cars like this can be.
