A US-based auto enthusiast took a big risk by buying what many call the ‘worst abandoned supercar in America.’
This car, a Mercedes-AMG GT, was left in terrible condition.
It sat outside under the sun for five long years, with no care or attention.
On the outside, it had a huge dent on the bumper and torn wrapping. But things only got worse when he looked underneath.

When Damon Fryer bought the car, the undercarriage was a complete mess.
Locked rear wheels, oil leaks, and debris from reckless off-roading were just the start.
Inside, the damage was shocking.
A rat’s nest was found under the hood, with chewed wires everywhere.
The engine didn’t even start, and when he turned the key, it made weak noises, suggesting major cylinder damage.
This unbelievable story was shared in a video posted on YouTube by DailyDrivenExotics, capturing the car’s shocking state.
It was easy to tell that the previous owner drove this car hard.
He slid off a racetrack, spilling coolant, and didn’t stop until the engine overheated – and Instead of getting it repaired, he poured cold water into the overheated engine, which caused even more damage.
Then finally, he left the car to rot.
The underside of the car told its own story too.
When Fryer took a look underneath, he realized it was hiding even more damage.
“Looking at this, the way this is ripped off, it looks like he went off the track and then spun backwards and then all that gravel came into the undertray,” he said.
The car was restored despite the odds
The engine was in the worst condition imaginable.
Every cylinder was filled with water, leaving the engine rusted and corroded.
Restoring the vehicle was a massive challenge.
A specialist had to rebuild the engine entirely, and even after that, the car faced problems like a locked transmission.
Despite the odds, the car was slowly brought back to life, and months of repairs have made it run again.
The plan is to turn it into an AMG GT3 race car for the streets, complete with a GT3 widebody kit.
The transformation of this ‘worst abandoned supercar’ into something amazing is really quite impressive.
