This man visited the supposed steepest street in the world to see just how difficult it is to drive on – and he was in for a wild ride.
The street, located in Wales, UK, is known for its steep inclines and sharp turns.
So, in true gearhead fashion, this driver decided to tackle the task head-on.
And it was clear that it lived up to expectations.

How difficult is it to drive on the steepest street in the world?
Nestled in Wales, UK, lies what was once dubbed the steepest street in the world.
Ffordd Pen Llech in Harlech was given the title in 2019, after taking over the crown from a road in New Zealand.

The road ‘has a gradient of 1:2.67 (37.45 percent stretch over fall). That means those traveling on the street go 1m up (or down) for every 2.67m travelled horizontally,’ according to Guinness World Records.
However, the Welsh road’s reign was short and sweet as the title was taken from it in 2020, when Baldwin Street in New Zealand was restored as the steepest street in the world.
But, with the street sign still sitting loud and proud, one man decided to see the gradient for himself.
YouTuber Conquer Driving took on the task to see just how difficult the road was to drive on, and he wasn’t disappointed.
He gave a tour around the road and showed just how much control was needed on different parts of the mechanics, such as the clutch and brake.

And, it was clear to see that you need to have your eye on the prize at all times.
Steep streets sometimes need special vehicles to tackle the conditions
It’s no secret that some roads need to be tackled with care, which is where special features come into play.
For example, when Supercar Blondie got to check out the world’s first Brabus made for off-roading, she was genuinely shocked.
But, there actually is a genuine reason why Los Angeles has so many extremely steep streets.
