A British YouTuber with a $13.7 million car collection has revealed how much it costs to run and look after everything from supercars to SUVs.

Mark McCann has an incredible collection of automobiles, ranging from Lamborghinis to a McLaren P1 to SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen.

Naturally, not only are these cars expensive, but it isn’t exactly cheap to keep a large collection of high-end vehicles on the road.

In a video on his Mark McCann Mk2 channel, the YouTuber detailed some of the costs involved and just how expensive it can be.

What cars does McCann have in his car collection?

YouTuber McCann has £10 million worth of cars in his possession, roughly $13,700,000.

That is 85 cars, quite a few of which are not road legal, and in one video, he dug into the costs of keeping them usable.

Out of the 85, just 11 of them are road legal right now.

To drive any car in the UK, you need three things.

These are an MOT, which ensures the car is safe to drive, road tax, and insurance.

The latter is the biggest money sapper.

Even with the Renault Clio RS18, one of the cheaper cars in the collection, insurance costs £1,000 a year, approximately $1,365.

The costs, though, ramp up as he goes through the cars.

For instance, his KTM X-Bow GT-XR costs $12,000 a year to own and drive.

McCann works out the cost of the McLaren P1 supercar

The last of the cars that McCann daily drives is his McLaren P1 supercar.

One of the fastest supercars ever made, insurance on the P1 costs roughly $18,000 a year!

Add in the cost of tax and servicing, and the P1 total comes to a whopping $32,000 a year.

Paying that much a year just to keep a car on the road is a crazy amount of money.

In total, to keep his 11 daily drivers on the road each year, McCann pays £62,000, around $84,600.

There are over 70 cars, however, that the YouTuber owns that are not road-legal.

If McCann were to have every vehicle in his car collection on the road for the year, he’d be paying out somewhere in the region of £202,000.

That converts to $275,000 a year; no wonder he only has 11 on the road!
