The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a pretty brilliant car by most people’s standards.
So when the National Corvette Museum decided to raffle one off, it was a pretty big deal.
One lucky man won the special auto, which is worth over $147,000.
But after driving just 183 miles, the winner decided to sell it.

National Corvette Museum holds special raffle
Last year, the National Corvette Museum (NCM) celebrated 30 years of existence.
And the Museum spared no expense in celebrating its birthday.
It ordered a one-of-one Z06 3LZ Convertible to mark the occasion.
This stunning car comes in an all-black colorway finish from the factory.
It also comes with an NCM 30th Anniversary Tech Bronze graphics package.

This special edition Corvette is fitted with a Carbon Flash grounds effect kit – as well as bronze wheels.
The inside is equally nice, complete with a Stealth Trim package.
This includes GT2 bucket seats featuring two-tone Jet Black and Natural leather.
There’s also a plaque on the speaker grille identifying this car as an NCM raffle prize.
Lucky man wins iconic car – and then sells it
As we mentioned at the top, this one-off Corvette was the star of a raffle.
The NCM held the raffle as part of their anniversary celebration.
Each ticket cost $350, with one lucky winner getting an absolute bargain.
The NCM released just 1,994 tickets – a number that commemorates the year it was founded.
The lucky winner briefly enjoyed the car for all of 183 miles before deciding to sell it.

And the seller of this 30th anniversary Chevrolet got one hell of a deal.
In fact, the raffle winner managed to sell the car he won for $136,000.
This meant that they made a profit of $135,650.
It also meant that the buyer bought a Corvette for well under the usual price tag.
Personally, we’re happy that the raffle winner made a life-changing amount of money.
And we are also delighted that this amazing machine might have many years of driving ahead.
