Mark Zuckerberg has finally fully embraced his multi-billionaire status and is now spending money on true billionaire stuff like his new superyacht.
He already had one, now he has two.
But the new one is bigger and more expensive.
It apparently cost him at least $100 million.

The reason why Mark Zuckerberg replaced his old yacht
Mark Zuckerberg, like most billionaires in his tax bracket, owns two superyachts.
He’s got his main superyacht, which is called Launchpad, and his support yacht.
Or shadow yacht, as some people call it.
He’s still keeping his main yacht, but he’s decided to replace his ‘backup’ boat.

Zuckerberg sold his old support vessel, Wingman, now rechristened Calm, to Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie, and replaced the ship with a bigger shadow boat.
Formerly known as U-81, Zuckerberg transferred his old yacht’s name, ‘Wingman’, Mark’s new yacht is an 80.1-meter (262-foot) giant with enough room for eight guests in four suites and 40 crew.
He apparently paid $100 million for it.
Why billionaires buy ‘support yachts’
There are several reasons why billionaires buy support yachts.
Vanity plays a part – no doubt – but there’s also a practical element.
The thing is, yachts like Launchpad or Koru are simply too big for most ports, and so billionaires generally anchor one yacht and use the other to move around, or to haul stuff and bring extra crew along.

The problem is that these support yachts are also too big.
Jeff Bezos recently found that out the hard way.
His idea was to get married in Venice and reach the city by boat.
But he eventually had to change his plans because both Koru and Bezos’ support yacht, ‘Abeona’, were simply too large for Venice.
