Mate Rimac has just addressed the latest Bugatti controversy.
More specifically, he has pointed out why Mat Armstrong is not being helped to repair his Chiron Pur Sport.
It all stems from a video that has been going viral in the car world.
And the Bugatti CEO has finally weighed in on the situation.

Mat Armstrong tries to repair Chiron Pur Sport by himself
Okay, so you might be wondering what this is all about.
Well, it concerns YouTube automotive giant Mat Armstrong.
The UK YouTuber was recently recruited to help a friend in Miami who recently bought back his Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport hypercar from a salvage auction.
And he has asked Mat and his team to fix the hypercar for him.
Of course, Mat is always happy to embrace a challenge, but this project is proving to be his biggest challenge yet – by far.
The biggest reason for this is quite a remarkable one.

Bugatti will not sell Mat the official parts to repair the hypercar.
In the video, Mat explained that the Chiron Pur Sport has essentially been blacklisted from receiving parts.
It left the YouTuber shocked and amazed at how far the brand will go to protect itself.
The other major problem came from the transmission.
It turns out that what was thought to be a hairline fracture was actually two enormous tears in the transmission mounts.
The video itself ended with Mat sending out an SOS for official Bugatti support.
Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac responds
And now the Bugatti CEO has just responded.
In a video uploaded to Instagram, Mate Rimac has weighed in.
“There’s been a lot of talk about Bugatti service, repair, and maintenance costs online,” Rimac says.
“And most of what you hear is simply not true.”
Mate Rimac admits that, of course, owning a Bugatti can be expensive.
But you get a Bugatti servicing warranty for four years.
Rimac said that the prices being floated around for Bugatti parts are incorrect.
The CEO then went through all of the various parts – and their actual costs.
He was also emphatic that you cannot 3D-print the parts in question.
That’s because the complexity of the repairs required means that Bugatti would have to do the work itself at its factory in France.
And this particular car would basically have to be split in half to repair it properly, as it requires incredibly specialized parts and people.
Bugatti’s CEO does not support the project because it is just not safe, and ended the video by explaining that he is happy to support the project.
