Max Verstappen’s $56,000,000 private jet is a stark contrast to Lewis Hamilton’s $50,000,000 choice.

For a sport that hops continents almost every other weekend, the fastest way to beat the schedule is still the sky.

Verstappen has leaned into that reality with a long-range jet built for non-stop hauls.

Hamilton, meanwhile, has taken a very different route with his travel setup, and the vibe could not be more different.

Max Verstappen’s $56,000,000 private jet

Verstappen’s headline-making airplane is a Dassault Falcon 8X, a long-range business jet designed for the exact problem F1 creates: getting from one side of the planet to the other without wasting time on fuel stops.

Reports on the purchase price vary depending on spec and source, but the Falcon 8X is commonly put in the ‘around $60 million’ bracket.

The Dassault Falcon 8X is all about range and comfort.

It can be configured to seat up to 16 people, with a long, customizable cabin that can be laid out for lounges, work zones, and proper sleep setups, because jet lag does not care how good you are on race day.

There’s also the logistics, the aircraft has been tracked flying between European airports, which makes sense for a driver who is constantly moving between races and home.

Lewis Hamilton’s $50,000,000 choice

Hamilton’s most famous jet era looked very different.

He previously owned a Bombardier Challenger 605, the one with the memorable cherry red look, and it was often linked with his earlier years on the grid.

The presence of the cherry red jet hinted at his career to come when he ended up driving for Ferrari, long before he donned the iconic red racing suit.

Then came the plot twist: he sold it in 2019, a move widely connected to his more sustainable life changes.

So while Verstappen is working on going long distances in style, Hamilton’s choice has been to step away from private jet ownership and use other ways to travel.

Both are racers, but they bring a totally different energy.
