British supercar manufacturer McLaren has taken the covers off its Project Chromology 750S, an artist-inspired McLaren 750S that has been created for Miami Art Week with artist Nat Bowen.
While the 750S has been with us for a couple of years now, the Project Chromology version is unlike any we have ever seen before.
It has been designed in collaboration with British abstract resin artist Bowen – and ‘abstract’ is certainly one way to describe its design.
This special collection will feature a handful of commissioned cars, all designed by Bowen.

The Project Chromology 750S is a real work of art
This is the second art car to come from the manufacturer and the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division.
It follows on from Project Viva by MSO, which was revealed ahead of the 2025 F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.
This project, however, has made its debut at Miami Art Week, at the Art Basel Miami Beach 2025 event.
Nat Bowen is famous for her resin-based artworks, with this supercar also recreating her vibrant designs.

The 750S has a chromatic layered finish, building colors through translucent coats.
Bold colors really are the theme for this special supercar.
The layered paint finish is a first for the company, with the raised texture one of its key features.
The colors of the McLaren really pop
Each color really pops out, with the example shown featuring green, light, and dark blue.
The shift in colors as you walk around the supercar is another feature that makes it stand out.
The multiple coats build the color up gradually, with light able to interact with each surface.
As the light interacts, different variations in tone and depth are revealed.
This really shows off the layers that each color is built upon the McLaren 750S.
The raised texturing within the paint itself is a first for MSO, which you can actually feel.

Every surface of the car has benefited from Nat Bowen’s unique approach.
Another first for MSO is the 24-karat gold-plated badging on the McLaren 750S.
The British manufacturer has produced some very eye-catching supercars and hypercars over the years.
This very special Project Chromology 750S, however, could be the most eye-catching of them all.
