When a customer took his Mini Cooper in for a regular service, the mechanic spotted something very troubling.
Dave, the man behind TikTok channel dontchaknowdave, had a red Mini Cooper in his shop with seemingly minor issues.
The customer had brought it in because their left rear tire was leaking.
But the mechanic found a much bigger issue when he took a deeper look.

This mechanic was stunned by what he saw on this Mini Cooper
Speaking to his followers, Dave explained the circumstances for why the Mini Cooper was in his shop.
“They came in because their left rear tire was leaking, and they wanted the alignment. They wanted their lifetime alignment,” Dave explained.
“Hence, why it’s on the alignment rack.”
Making sure your wheel alignment’s straight all sounds pretty standard, right?

Well, things weren’t quite what they appeared to be.
In the clip, another mechanic is shown pushing on one of the car’s front wheels.
Shockingly, the wheel begins moving, suggesting that it’s not been properly fitted.
“Somehow, they didn’t notice this or feel this,” Dave said.
“And if you don’t know, that isn’t supposed to do that. That should be solid.”
What to look out for on your own car
The bizarre sight of a wobbly wheel was enough to draw a fair bit of attention to the video.
“[Massachussetts] roads will do that to ya,” one person joked.
Maybe there’s a reason Boston was once named the most dangerous place to drive in the US?
Others were fairly sympathetic to the Mini’s owner.
“They know something was wrong, that’s why they asked for an alignment,” one person said.
Another asked for some advice on how to determine if they also had a problem like that with their own car.

“If it wobbles while stationary, it wobbles at speed. A driver would definitely feel that,” another viewer replied.
Now we’re just really curious to see what this car would have driven like with a wheel in this state.
We can’t imagine it was a smooth ride.
In the age of social media, we’ve got more and more insight into how mechanics do their jobs.
One came to a startling realization about this 1968 Mustang GT 390 after he began working on it.

Another shared the five things you should never do in an automatic car, whilst another revealed the $33 item that saves hundreds in repair bills.
