The Ferrari name resonates throughout the car world, and rightly so.

For many, Maranello, where the Italian autos are born, is the center of the supercar universe.

Enzo Ferrari, the man who started it all, clearly passed on his love of autos, and his son and grandson were recently seen out and about in family vehicles.

And some of the cars on display will blow your mind.

Ferrari is a family dynasty built on the work and determination of one man.

Enzo Ferrari, in the eyes of many, might be the most famous figure in car history.

Despite knowing the name, not many people know the story behind his empire.

He actually got his start with another famous Italian marque, Alfa Romeo.

In 1920, he joined the maker’s extremely successful racing team.

There, he rose through the ranks, eventually becoming Sporting Director.

The Italian then established the Scuderia Ferrari racing team, which became the official team of Alfa Romeo.

In 1938, Alfa Romeo decided to transfer the team from its headquarters in Modena to Alfa’s headquarters in Milan.

Enzo disagreed with this decision, and left Alfa Romeo the following year in 1939.

As part of his severance agreement, he agreed not to use the team name for four years.

In the interim, he had already begun working on building his own cars.

The Tipo 815, with eight cylinders, and 1.5-liter displacement, was, technically, the first true Ferrari car.

These developments came in tandem with proposals for a world Grand Prix championship.

And the rest, as they say, is history – the name would become the most iconic car brand of all time.

Despite having passed away in 1988, Enzo’s lineage lives on.

A video, captured by Andreas Birner on Instagram, recently went viral on social media of his heirs.

His son, Piero Ferrari, and grandson, Enzo Mattioli-Ferrari, were seen leaving an Italian estate.

In fact, they were leaving Casa Maria Luigi in Modena – home of famed chef Massimo Bottura.

The event in question is the Cavallino Classic di Modena; a Ferrari-only event concours event.

It is hosted by Canossa Events – a company in which Enzo Mattioli-Ferrari is believed to be a shareholder.

Instead, it is the absolutely stunning cars that transported the legend’s relatives to and from the house.

Piero was spotted leaving in the incredible Daytona SP3 – his own personal car.

The supercar is part of the brand’s “Icona” series – a series that pays tribute to its motorsport heritage.

A little bit later, grandson Enzo is seen leaving in a Monza SP2.

This Monza SP2 is believed to be owned by Enzo’s stepfather, Alberto Galassi.

Galassi is the second husband of Enzo’s mother, Antonella Ferrari.

Alberto Galassi serves as CEO of Ferretti Group, which includes Riva Boats.

This explains the stunning boat you can see in the background of the video.

And he is carrying the famous chef, Massimo Bottura, in the passenger seat with him.

There sure do seem to be nice perks to being a member of this famous Italian family.
