When this man bought his sixth G-Wagen, the CEO of Mercedes-Benz delivered it to him personally.
Rajiv Ranjan can now count himself as India’s first owner of a Mercedes-AMG G 63 Off-Road PRO.
He already has an impressive fleet, but we have a sneaking suspicion this one may now hold special sentimental value.
After all, it was delivered by the CEO of Mercedes-Benz India – how cool is that?
It’s always special when a CEO gets involved
When a company higher-up takes time out of their busy schedule to do something nice for someone else, it’s always nice to see.
Whether it’s Steve Jobs buying Porsches for his employees or a Ford executive giving a gift to a woman who’d driven her Mercury Comet Caliente for 570,000 miles, it’s always a memorable moment for everyone involved.
And when it’s the CEO, that makes it all the more special.
It’s a nice way for a company to signify the gravity of a particular moment.
That’s certainly what happened for one man in India by the name of Rajiv Ranjan.
This man had the Indian CEO of Mercedes deliver him a new G-Wagen
Ranjan is a big Mercedes fan, there’s no doubt about that.
He recently purchased his sixth G-Wagen – a brand-new AMG G 63 Off-Road PRO, to be exact.

This purchase made him the first person in all of India to own one.
Such an occasion merited some pageantry and ceremony in the eyes of Mercedes, so the CEO of the Indian branch, Santosh Iyer, came down to hand over the keys himself.
The hand-over ceremony took place at the company’s Chakan plant.
The G-Wagen was adorned with a flower garland, and photos were shared all over the social media of Mercedes-Benz Silver Star Pune, who handled the delivery.
As if having the CEO there wasn’t cool enough, he even left his signature on the dashboard.

How impressive is this new G-Wagen?
Leaving aside the added cool factor of the CEO’s presence, what do we know about this new G-Wagen?
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad PRO is a limited-run variant of the G 63, using the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that generates 585hp.

Reportedly capable of hitting 100km/h in 4.4 seconds and reaching top speeds of 149mph, there’s no questioning this G-Wagen’s capabilities.
What’s new this time around?
There’s two new drive functions, including AMG Active Balance Control, adjusting roll stiffness in three stages, and AMG Traction PRO, which manages braking torque at each wheel.
There’s also AMG Active Ride Control, which adds hydraulic roll stabilization and adaptive damping.

The interior is decked out in Nappa leather and comes with 12.3-inch MBUX screens, including an off-road display with a compass, altitude, and tire pressure all available.
Here’s hoping Ranjan enjoys his new car and always remembers the special way in which he received it.
