Fully electric GLC SUV
The fully electric GLC SUV uses a dedicated architecture for battery-powered models.
The GLC 400 4MATIC delivers 360 kW and supports fast charging that restores 303 kilometers of range in ten minutes.
The system is supported by an 800-volt battery setup, which improves charging efficiency and reduces downtime on long trips.
A usable capacity of 94 kWh provides flexibility for both daily commuting and long-distance driving.
The SUV can tow up to 2.4 tonnes, which places it among the more capable vehicles in its class.

That figure makes it suitable for trailers, boats, or caravans, broadening its appeal beyond city driving.
Rear-axle steering and adaptive suspension are included to improve stability and ride quality, giving the GLC SUV a balance between comfort and agility.
A multi-source heat pump also manages cabin temperature efficiently in colder climates, protecting battery performance in winter conditions.
Inside, the SUV features a 39.1-inch Hyperscreen that merges driving information, media, and navigation into a single display.
The system runs on MB.OS, a new operating system that allows remote updates and adapts to driver preferences over time.

This integration means that functions from automated driving to charging can be managed from one platform.
Cargo capacity is larger than in earlier versions of the GLC SUV, with 570 liters in the rear, 1,740 liters with seats folded, and an additional 128 liters in the front trunk.
Mercedes-Benz is also offering a vegan-certified interior option.
This makes the fully electric GLC SUV the first model from a major manufacturer to include an independently certified vegan cabin.

Other available features include a panoramic roof and customizable ambient lighting.
Seating has been redesigned for greater ergonomics and has received certification from German health organizations for back support.
Safety equipment includes up to ten cameras, five radar units, and twelve ultrasonic sensors, which provide coverage for advanced driver-assistance systems.
Mercedes-Benz’s EV push
The fully electric GLC SUV plays a central role in the company’s expanding EV lineup.
MB.OS is the core system, linking automated driving, entertainment, and charging functions.
The software connects to the cloud and supports bidirectional charging, which means the SUV can supply electricity to a home or return power to the grid.
Mercedes-Benz is positioning this feature as a step toward integrating cars more closely with household and renewable energy systems.

The SUV is also connected to the MB.CHARGE service.
Drivers will be able to reserve charging stations in advance at selected locations in Europe and the United States, with further rollouts planned before the decade ends.
This is paired with access to one of the largest charging networks in the industry.
Navigation systems will automatically plot routes including charging stops, taking into account weather and terrain to provide more accurate estimates of driving time.

Mercedes-Benz has long relied on the GLC SUV as its top-selling model worldwide.
Shifting this vehicle into a fully electric form is a significant move in a competitive market that includes rivals from BMW, Audi, and Tesla.
By combining range, digital features, and everyday usability, the fully electric Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV is positioned to become one of the most important midsize electric cars on the market.
Production begins in 2026, marking a new phase for both the model and the company’s wider electrification strategy.
