A woman found that her 2004 Mercedes G-Wagen SUV was playing a Peking Duck video on its infotainment system, causing quite a shock.
American Maddy had always wanted a 2004 G55 AMG as it had been a dream car of hers.
She was finally able to get her hands on one a few months ago, but was quite shocked when she saw what was playing inside the car.
Not only that, but as she found out, this was happening with other Mercedes G-Wagens!

Why the G-Wagen plays this random Peking Duck video
For added context, the video appears on the infotainment screen of the Mercedes SUV.
It shows somebody slicing a Peking Duck after it’s been cooked, which not only makes you hungry but also confused.
We asked Maddy about what had happened, and she shared some interesting bits of information about the random video.
The unit inside Maddy’s G-Wagen is an aftermarket one, and thus, it might not work quite like an original.

“Apparently, people’s head units playing someone slicing Peking duck is a shared experience among many.
“It’s the demo video for many aftermarket head units, which I only learned after posting the video,” she said.
The video she is referencing is the one she shared on her TikTok of the Peking Duck.
For some wild reason, the G-Wagen also has an Italian war film loaded into its system, too!
Maddy still loves her Mercedes G-Wagen despite the random video
Despite the random duck video, Maddy still loves her G-Wagen.
The 2004 model in particular has always been a dream car for her, so she was over the moon to get her hands on one.
For fans of the car, you really need to stick around on Maddy’s TikTok account.
She has said she will share some more obscure quirks and features of the SUV, and she is working to get it back up to its full potential.
@spicylugnuts Replying to @CrazyCat There are also only two songs on this car computer. Any guesses? #g55 #amg #mercedes #gwagon ♬ original sound – spicylugnuts
Maddy loves her cars, which is obvious as she also owns a 2JZ swapped Ford F100, an LS swapped BMW E30 Touring, and a recently imported Mitsubishi Evo VI.
Now that is a car collection that makes us incredibly jealous.
Hopefully, none of them plays a Peking Duck video on their infotainment console!
