EV is the future, and Mercedes knows that by heart.

That’s why the company has come forward with the all-new VANS.EA electric vans.

These EV vans could be game-changing for the company, and they are already testing them on the roads.

Built on the flexible and modular platform called the VAN.EA (Mercedes-Benz Van Electric Architecture), all new medium and large vans developed by Mercedes will use this electric platform starting in 2026.

Mercedes introduced the VAN.EA family of electric vans

Mercedes wants to create a clear difference between luxury private vans and premium commercial vans.

In the private segment, Mercedes will offer family vans, VIP shuttles, and even luxury limousines for high-end customers.

These vans will come with the latest technology and will be designed to meet a variety of customer needs.

The VAN.EA electric vans will have options like front-wheel and all-wheel drive, and they will also feature the latest Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS).

Charging these vans will be faster and more efficient with an 800-volt charging system and a 22kW AC charger.

Mercedes is serious about its EV game – recently, they announced the development of an electric supercar inspired by an iconic concept car.

Electric vans undergoing special testing

In early June 2024, the company tested a special version of the van, driving it from Stuttgart all the way to the North Cape.

This long trip tested important parts like the chassis, electric powertrain, battery, and high-voltage components.

And now, the company is making sure that all these parts work well together. They are planning to do more tests in winter in Sweden to see how the van performs in cold conditions.

It’s clear that Mercedes wants to offer the best to its customers and remain a leader in the EV market.
