Mercedes is going to put the One-Eleven concept into production, and it’ll be an EV hypercar.
Not only will it be electric, and it’ll also be one of the fastest vehicles in the world.
We don’t have a deadline yet, but we do know it’ll be based on the vehicle you see here.
And it’ll be very quick.

The story behind the Mercedes One-Eleven
The One-Eleven is a concept vehicle inspired by an iconic, but sometimes forgotten, model from the past.
It was unveiled a couple of years ago as a tribute to the legendary C111.
Which in itself was an unusual vehicle from the 1960s and 1970s.
The original C111 – below – was designed by Bruno Sacco and initially created as a rotary engine vehicle.

Only a few examples were ever built and, as a result, this is now one of the rarest Mercedes models in the world.
When Mercedes unveiled the One-Eleven, we all assumed it was just a striking-looking vehicle created for a car show.
But the German automaker decided it is going to be followed by a production model.
What we can expect from the new hypercar
The new hypercar inspired by the One-Eleven will be the spiritual successor to the Mercedes-AMG One but, in reality, it’ll be totally different.
Mainly because it’ll be electric, and also because Mercedes will focus on making it fast around a track but, more importantly, fast in terms of sheer speed.

While the Mercedes-AMG One was marketed as a ‘Formula 1 car for the road’, the One-Eleven will likely aim to break speed records.
It’s probably going to use a heavily modified version of the same platform as the upcoming 1,000HP SUV.
And thanks to its electric unit, it’ll do 0-60 in less than 2 seconds… and it’ll have a price tag well over seven figures.
Mercedes hasn’t given us a specific date yet, but it should be here by the end of the decade.
We can’t wait for Supercar Blondie to try it out!
