Basketball legend Michael Jordan is arguably the most well-known player on the globe, and it turns out that he uses his well-earned fortune to splash out on a luxurious superyacht.

That’s right, the star spends his days lounging on expensive decks and dipping his toes in warm water all over the world.

The vessel he reportedly uses is called Joy – it’s huge, and boasts incredible features fit for sporting royalty.

But, with all the flashy elements comes an eye-watering price tag.

Michael Jordan shot and scored with this choice of superyacht

Michael Jordan is no stranger to the life of luxury, but this activity takes things to a whole new level.

Meet Joy, a superyacht spanning over 70m, built by Feadship, which is the epitome of ultimate luxury.

This thing really does put a standard sail or power boat to shame in every way possible.

The superyacht has an endless amount of luxurious elements on board, including a basketball area, very apt for Michael Jordan, you have to admit.

It also features a beach club, a slick gym, and spreads its accommodation and leisure areas across five decks.

To keep all of this in check, a strong crew also sets sail along with guests, who no doubt utilize luxe features such as jacuzzis.

Also on board the yacht lies a reported water slide and dance floor, but the winning factor may blow your mind.

The boat also has ‘winter gardens’ which are ‘pockets of air-conditioned indoor/outdoor zones’ according to charter platform Burgess.

All that luxury leaves a dent in his bank account

Now, despite rumours of the sports legend actually owning the yacht, it turns out another prestigious billionaire is the owner.

Reports suggest that Sameer Gehlaut owns it and allows some of the world’s richest to charter it instead.

Don’t fear, though, as it seems that Michael Jordan has still reportedly set sail on it and enjoyed all that it has to offer.

However, to charter it, it reportedly costs around the $780,000 mark during high season.

That’s over half a million dollars to set sail at sea, for a period of seven days.

Well, it’s no surprise that it’s loved by Jordan, as he is known to have a mighty collection of cars and yachts.

But hey, at least it brings him Joy, get it?
