A man spent months restoring a ‘priceless’ 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle that had once belonged to his late brother.

For many people, cars are a whole lot more than just four wheels and an engine.

And that was certainly the case for brothers Steve and Price Simon.

The car loving brothers shared a real passion for vintage vehicles, so when Price sadly passed away in 2013, Steve knew the perfect way to honor his memory.

The 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle was nicknamed Priceless in honor of its owner

The bright red Chevelle was initially purchased by Steve in 1985.

But after driving the Chevy for around three years, he passed it on to his brother Price.

Price adored the car and kept it safely tucked away in storage and would only bring it on very special occasions.

Steve told ABC 12 that the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle was his brother’s ‘baby’ and that he was never tempted to sell it, despite plenty of folks showing an interest.

After Price passed away, the classic car once again ended up with Steve.

And he knew that the most fitting way to honor his late brother would be to restore the Chevelle.

So, that’s what he did – and he made sure to do an absolutely top notch job.

“His name is Price and we named the car priceless and it is priceless,” he told the news outlet.

Steve said he believes that his brother would have been delighted with the restoration, and all the hard work that went into it.

“Anything he did, he gave it 110 percent, and so that’s what I did,” he added.

The restoration was completed in 2021, and Steve brought the car along to the Frankenmuth Autofest the same year, where it was put on proud display.

It’s not the first time someone has restored a car in tribute to a loved one

This isn’t the first time someone has decided to give an old car a restoration to honor a loved one.

The owner of a 1994 Dodge Viper tragically died before he got a chance to finish its restoration, but his brother refused to give up and made sure the car was returned to its former glory.

Meanwhile, another man spent 12 years fixing up a rare 1985 Ford CL9000 as a heartfelt tribute to his truck-loving dad.
