Morgan Motor Company has unveiled its 1-of-10 Midsummer Coupé, with the cars forming part of a very exclusive commission.
Built upon the 2024 open-bodied model, the Midsummer Coupé is a masterful blend of ‘traditional metal-shaping techniques’ and ‘contemporary engineering’.
But not only does this car look stunning, each one will be personalized to each owner’s tastes.
Car 0 has been unveiled ahead of the other nine personalized client commissions.
Taking a closer look at the Midsummer Coupé from Morgan
As the world’s preeminent coachbuilder, Morgan Motor Company manufactures more than 630 cars a year.
The company has been going for 116 years and shows no sign of slowing down.
And if any car demonstrates that, it’s the Midsummer Coupé, which has made its big debut.

Based on the original Midsummer concept, which was unveiled back in 2024 and limited to 50, the Coupé is a total reinterpretation.
The timeless silhouette Morgan has become renowned for has been reimagined as an open barchetta.
Believe it or not, the Coupé came from one client with a big idea.
“A client came to us with an idea and, rather than asking how closely we could meet that brief, we asked ourselves how far we could take it,” Matthew Hole, the Managing Director of Morgan Motor Company, said.

“Only nine clients will own a Midsummer Coupé, but the impact of the project extends far beyond those commissions and experiences.
“Every challenge we overcome, every technique we develop and every lesson we learn strengthens Morgan’s ability to bring to life distinctive and joyful sports cars.”
The client is guiding the design of each car
Beyond the shared body architecture, each of the nine commissions will be distinct from the others.
Morgan’s design team is working closely with each client to fulfil the vision they have in mind when it comes to colors, leathers, wood finishes, and bespoke details.

These nine cars represent the next chapter in Morgan’s approach to bespoke vehicle creation – evolution and tradition working harmoniously together.
What’s happening to the tenth Midsummer Coupé ?
You don’t need a calculator to figure out that the math isn’t mathing here.
How can this car be 1-of-10 if nine are going to clients? What’s happened to the tenth one?
This tenth car was the prototype, referred to as the ‘artists’ proof’ internally.

Rather than going to a private buyer, it’ll be joining the prestigious Louwman Collection in The Hague, Netherlands.
There it will have a deserved place as a reminder of contemporary advanced coachbuilding.
That’s all the better for the rest of us, as it will allow us to see the car in person.
