Colby Raha has just broken a major world record for the world’s longest motorcycle jump.
The motocross daredevil was the star of the show at the latest Sturgis Rally.
On Saturday, August 2nd, Raha nailed a 205ft jump using a Harley-Davidson Sportster.
And the motocross daredevil broke the record that has been held at Sturgis since 2010.

Colby Raha performs longest motorcycle jump at Sturgis
Colby Raha showed up to the 85th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota with one goal in mind.
That goal was to smash the Harley-Davidson distance jump world record at the Thunderdome.
The original Sturgis record was held by the legendary icon Evel Knievel.
Knievel first set the Sturgis jump record all the way back in 1975.
Seth Enslow, who, coincidentally, was born that same year, would be the man to break the record.
2010 saw Enslow complete a 183.7ft jump in Australia, onboard a modified Harley-Davidson XR1200 Sportster.
So Colby Raha knew that his work was cut out for him if he was to break the world record in question.

The motocross daredevil decided to take on the challenge with a 550lb, V-Twin Harley-Davidson Sportster.
After four unsuccessful attempts, Raha stepped up to the ramp, determined to make history.
And he did just that, accelerating towards the jump ramp at around 80mph.
This run ultimately finished with Raha securing a 205ft jump, breaking the record.
Raha quickly becomes one of sport’s biggest stars
Raha was, naturally, absolutely ecstatic about breaking the world record at Sturgis.
“This jump at the Thunderdome in Sturgis channeled the spirit of Evel Knievel, an absolute legend of the sport. And I’m beyond stoked to have landed it as part of my Record Breakers event,” Raha remarked.
“You don’t see anyone else lining up to do this,” he said before the jump took place.
Colby Raha is one of America’s most famous motocross stunt riders.

The California native made his debut at the 2017 X-Games as a relative unknown.
Despite his unknown status, he went on to win gold for the QuarterPipe High Air.
He has since become one of the sport’s biggest stars, winning 11 more medals in X-Games competitions.
