This guy drove a regular Mustang GT and compared it against a Mustang Mach-E GT to see which came out on top.

The cars share some similarities, including horsepower, price and 0 to 60mph time.

But they are also very different in other ways.

YouTuber William Frantz took a closer look at the cars to see which one reigned supreme.

The strengths of the Mustang Mach-E GT

Frantz said: “For all these cars have in common, they have vastly different personalities.”

On the day that Frantz took the Mach-E GT for a spin, there’d been quite a bit of rain.

No bother for this car though, which is better suited for wetter conditions.

Frantz explained: “On days today like this, that’s the first point of mentioning what’s so great about this car.

“You can get crazy speed, all wheel drive. That’s something you can’t do in the regular Mustang.”

It’s also set a record for the longest EV journey on a single charge, which is pretty impressive.

The Mach-E is a great daily driver, thanks in part to the low center of gravity caused by the battery pack.

“That adds a lot of benefits to overall driving dynamics,” Frantz said.

“Low center of gravity means you can turn in harder than you would typically in a vehicle where you sit this high.

“Overall, it’s a phenomenal daily driver for someone who wants speed […] but wants to be discreet.”

If discreet is a word to describe the Mach-E, it certainly can’t be applied to its sibling.

How does the other car compare?

As he drove his Mustang GT, he noted his own excitement to be behind the wheel.

“It feels like something special every time you drive it,” he said.

“This car just has so much personality.

“It can become something of a weapon when you want it to be. Nothing quite replaces the roar of a V8.”

He then proceeded to demonstrate said roar down a long country road.

Frantz also noted that the car’s steering was superior to the Mach-E: “I’ve seen a lot of reviews knock the steering for feeling ‘numb’.

“I can see that if you were using it on a track, but as a daily driver, the steering is leaps and bounds ahead of the steering of previous generations.”

So in the end, which Mustang came out on top in Frantz’s eyes?

The GT got the nod as being ‘more fun’ to drive in his book.

“The Mach-E is a near perfect performance daily driver that comes with all the benefits and all of the challenges of being an EV,” he said.

“Both cars are excellent.”

In short, both are solid choices to have sitting in your garage.

One things for certain – you can’t go wrong with a Mustang.

Their awesomeness knows no limits – even being adapted into an amphibious car is not off limits.
