Nebraska YouTuber Cleetus McFarland is quite accustomed to a belching engine, but the world’s fastest Honda Odyssey minivan pumping out 1,000HP has blown his mind.

Minivans aren’t supposed to roar like race cars. There’s a reason that the biggest engines in the world are saved for trucks and sports cars.

But that hasn’t stopped this Honda from getting the glow-up that only a Dodge Charger could dream of.

With 1,000HP in a K24 engine, this usual family car has become an unlikely racer that surprised even the biggest gearheads.

Possibly in a bid to do what nobody else has done before, some people have made it their goal to make minivans into race cars.

One person created a Hellcat minivan on top of a Chrysler Town & Country, with glowing success.

Others have been commissioned by tech gurus to turn a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT into a minivan.

But none of these creations lives up to this Honda Odyssey, nicknamed the ‘Cleater Beater’.

Highlighted on YouTube by Nebraska creator Cleetus McFarland, it’s truly a remarkable animal.

At face value, the car looks mundane. It wouldn’t look out of place at a run-down garage or in a grotty suburb.

But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and underneath the hood, this minivan is an absolute behemoth.

The vehicle had been fitted with a K24 engine with a monstrous turbo and all the bells and whistles needed to make it forget its history.

And it roared, with a top speed over 165MPH. It was like watching a defensive linebacker run the 100m at Usain Bolt’s pace.

Despite having previous experience handling all sorts of wacky and powerful vehicles, the Nebraska man couldn’t quite believe what he was driving.

While it’s not quite the speed that you’d get from a usual 1,000HP vehicle, there’s no denying that the minivan was hilariously brilliant.

Unfortunately, though, the YouTube upload ended in tears as it wasn’t just Cleetus’ mind that was blown…

Doubtless, it won’t be too much of an expensive fix.
