How does buying a Range Rover for just $5,000 sound? A dream for any car fanatic, right?

For Will Chandler, this dream became a reality – but it was filled with unexpected twists.

It all started with a 10-hour road trip to pick up his new car, a Range Rover that sounded like the perfect deal.

But – as is so often the case – things weren’t exactly as they seemed.

Range Rover bought for cheap as a daily driver

His old car – a diesel BMW X5 – had served him well for six months, but when the opportunity came to grab a Range Rover for £4,200 -around $5,000 – he couldn’t resist.

The price was too good to pass up, and the car was one of the last models of its kind.

It had the exact specs he would have chosen himself.

Everything seemed perfect until his first day behind the wheel.

The following morning, he was greeted with a yellow air suspension warning, which he thought might be a minor issue.

However, as he drove, the suspension dropped and the ride became bouncy and uncomfortable.

To make matters worse, a red warning popped up, limiting the car’s speed to just 30mph.

Despite these problems, he decided to keep driving the Range Rover, hoping things would get better each day.

As the old saying goes – it’s the hope that kills you.

While the buy was cheap, it wasn’t the best, just like this Ferrari F355 that also came with a litany of issues.

The car was nothing but trouble

A mechanic confirmed the suspension pump was overheating, causing the suspension fault.

He also discovered a coolant leak that required topping up every 2,000 miles.

To make matters worse, the coolant leak was progressing, with pink fluid indicating a serious issue.

To top things off, there was also a wobble in the wheels and a ball joint problem to deal with.

When it rains, it pours.

Still, despite all these issues, the car kept going.

The experience was shared on YouTube by Two Dead Center, showing how this daily driver became more of a daily challenge.
