Ferrari is giving you the chance to make the 849 Testarossa even more aggressive

The new Ferrari 849 Testarossa online configurator is finally live.

This is good news to people who can actually afford one, and probably even better news to people who just want to have some fun building this supercar.

You can go crazy with the options.

But there’s one thing that’s missing.

The only thing you won’t find in the configurator

If you happen to have $540,000 burning a hole in your pocket (that’s the MSRP of the 849), or you simply want to dream about owning this Ferrari model one day, you can now build your own 849 Testarossa with the online configurator.

It’s pretty simple, and straightforward.

Like all configurators, you get to pick the model – coupe or convertible – and then you can choose between different paint options for the exterior, upholstery for the cabin, and other optional extras.

For the exterior, you can also select different liveries and brake caliper colors.

And for the interior, you’ve got five different seat types, each with a plethora of upholstery options, with leather, Alcantara, or both.

The only thing that’s missing is the price.

Surprise surprise.

You can build your own 849 Testarossa, but then you can only print your configuration, or ‘send [it] to [your] showroom’, or you can share it across social media.

The one thing you can’t do is get a quote.

Everything we know about the Ferrari 849 Testarossa

Known internally as F173M, the 849 Testarossa was unveiled in September as a tribute to the original Testarossa.

The new 849 Testarossa incorporates design elements from both the 296 GTB and the SF 90 XX Stradale, which is also part of the XX Programme.

The engine is based on the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 used in the SF90, paired with three electric motors, but it now delivers 1,036BHP, sent to all four wheels, even though the all-wheel drive system is definitely rear-biased.

The top speed is 330KPH (205MPH), while 0-62MPH is dealt with in 2.25 seconds.

The Testarossa is technically the fourth new model unveiled this year after the 296 Evo and the Amalfi.

But that’s about to change soon.

As part of its 2030 plan, Ferrari said it wants to unveil four new models every year for the next four years.

So stay tuned for that.
