First-look images show inside the upcoming state-of-the-art train that will connect Los Angeles and Las Vegas – complete with first of its kind ‘party-car’
Brightline West is currently working on bringing the ‘first true high-speed passenger rail system in the nation’ – connecting Las Vegas and Southern California.
The 218-mile all-electric rail service will travel at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour.
The company says a journey from Las Vegas to Rancho Cucamonga will take just two hours and 10 minutes – around half the time it would take to drive.

The company hope the new service will ‘reinvent’ travel
Brightline officially broke ground on the ambitious project earlier this year.
Brightline is hopeful its ‘passenger first’ rail service will ‘reinvent train travel’ and help to take cars off congested routes.
Alongside a flagship station in Las Vegas, the service will also stop at additional stations in Apple Valley, Hesperia, and Rancho Cucamonga.
Passengers arriving at Rancho Cucamonga Station will be able to hop onto Southern California’s regional Metrolink service, providing a seamless journey to downtown and LA and beyond.
“For the first time ever in the U.S., we will be manufacturing trains that will compete with the best in the world,” Brightline CEO Michael Reininger said in a statement.
“Reaching speeds of over 200mph, these trains will be marked by the latest innovations designed for the modern traveler and establishing a new benchmark in transportation.”
The train will have a ‘party-car’ for passengers
Brightline has signed a deal with Siemens Mobility to create the trains.
Siemens Mobility has since shared first-look images of how the trains will look – and they’re pretty special.
The ultra-wide body train will offer an ‘unmatched passenger experience’ according to the company with large, comfortable seats and super-fast internet connectivity.
There’s also set to be a first-of-its-kind ‘party-car’ that will create an ‘exciting passenger experience, emblematic of its name’.
The lounge car will allow those onboard to relax, enjoy a drink, and soak up the stunning desert views en route.
Production of the trains is set to kick off in 2026 at Horseheads in New York.
Brightline hopes to have its new service up and running by 2028 and predicts that it carry as many as 11 million passengers annually.
