A humanoid robot named ‘Rizzbot’ has been spotted strolling through the streets of New York.
With a cowboy hat on its head and its name plastered across its chest, it was impossible to miss.
The whole walk was flanked by a human security detail, adding to the outrageousness.
It’s the latest in a string of humanoid robot sightings across the US.

Rizzbot stopped New Yorkers in their tracks
The viral TikTok, posted by @amin.k.48, showed Rizzbot behaving like a meme brought to life.
The humanoid waltzed down the street, locking eyes with pedestrians and blasting soundbites pulled straight from TikTok edits.
Anyone who is chronically online would recognise its laugh and punchy one-liners as viral sounds from their favorite clips.
It had commenters on TikTok in hysterics.

“This would send me into a straight psychosis,” one user wrote.
Another pointed out that the strangest part wasn’t the robot’s cowboy hat or its meme voice, but the fact that it had its own security guard shadowing it like an A-lister on a press tour.
But Rizzbot isn’t just some random machine wandering loose.
It’s a Unitree G1 humanoid robot, a model that costs anywhere from $15,000 to $50,000 depending on upgrades.
The three-foot-tall bot was originally trained at the University of Texas at Austin, where robotics researchers literally taught it how to dance.
Robots are going viral in public spaces
This isn’t the first time the humanoid has freaked people out on the street.
Earlier this year, Austin locals met him under his earlier alias – Jake, the cowboy robot – when he was spotted roaming downtown and shaking hands with strangers.

The reaction then was the same: confusion, curiosity, and plenty of phones filming.
Whether he’s called Jake in Austin or Rizzbot in New York, the cowboy humanoid has mastered one thing – getting attention.
And if that means parading through city streets with a bodyguard like he’s the star of the show, well… that’s exactly the point.
