Nissan has given the Z an update for the new year with a revised front end and a stunning Unryu Green exterior that gives a subtle nod to a 1970s classic color.

The Nissan Z was introduced for the model year 2023, but the carmaker has already given it a facelift.

The new-look Z was unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon over the weekend.

As well as a beautiful new color, the car has had several updates, including a smaller grille at the front and a new luxe interior option.

The Nissan Z’s Unryu Green is a nod to the past

The Nissan Z was already a looker, but the upgrades have made it look a little sleeker.

The redesigned front end now features a smaller, sculpted two-piece grille that’s separated by a body-colored panel and has a real retro feel to it.

And while we’re on the subject of retro, the gorgeous Unryu Green exterior paintwork is a modern imagining of Nissan’s classic Grand Prix Green color, the carmaker used back in the 1970s.

The carmaker has also removed the small lip spoiler on the backend of the Z, and it now sits on new 19-inch spoked wheels.

The interior has also been updated, with a new tan leather option that looks more high-end than the car’s previous red and blue options.

The new Z has also been given bigger pistons and boosted brakes, which will help to improve handling, responsiveness, and the car’s stopping power.

The track-ready Z NISMO trim will also be offered with a manual transmission, having previously only been available with a nine-speed automatic.

Will the facelifted Z be coming to the US?

The updated Z will first be launched in the Japanese market, where it’s known as the Fairlady Z.

As yet, Nissan hasn’t confirmed which other markets the car will land in.

But given that the current Z is available in the US, it stands to reason it will get an American release at some point.

The carmaker has shared pricing details just yet.

But, for what it’s worth, the current model is on sale in the US for between $44,1650 and $66,945, depending on which trim option you go for.
