A one-of-a-kind car museum in Ohio is crammed full of rare and classic cars – and every car on display is in perfect working condition.

Designed to look like a 1940s Texaco gas station, Snooks Dream Cars is quite unlike any museum we’ve seen before.

Stepping inside is like taking a trip back in time with cars dating back from the 1930s all the way up to the 1970s.

The museum is also home to a huge collection of automotive memorabilia including toy and model cars, and vintage car parts.

Snooks Dream Cars is a totally one-off

The US is home to several quirky car museums, such as The Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, which houses a broad mix of motors including prototypes, mircocars and amphibious vehicles; or Oregon-based The Brothers Collection, which has more than 350 muscle cars.

But in terms of sheer quirkiness, it’s hard to beat Snooks Dream Cars

Set up by the late Bill Snook, the museum is now run by his son Jeff.

The father and son developed a love for cars after they restored a 1929 Model A Ford in 1963 that Jeff then drove when he turned 16.

And its safe to say since Jeff hoped into the driving seat at Snooks Dream Cars, he’s done a tremendous job persevering the classic vehicles.

All the cars on display at the museum are in perfect working order

Inside, you’ll find perfectly preserved cars set up in a range of fun scenes, including a 1930s general store and a racetrack from the 1960s.

With cars spanning five decades, you’ll find just about every model of classic car you could imagine, including coupes, convertibles, sedans, roadsters and race cars.

The collection includes cars from Cadillac, Ford, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Packard, Kaiser, Willys, Jaguar, Triumph, MG, Datsun, and Alfa Romeo – meaning there’s something for all tastes.

And not only that but each and every car at Snooks Dream Cars is in fine working order.
So much so that Jeff even takes them out for a spin every once in a while.

“We like to consider this a living museum since all the cars on display are in working condition,” says Jeff.

“I drive one or another of them around town on a regular basis, weather permitting.”

How cool is that?
