These guys in Ohio uncovered a rare Ford F-250 Highboy that had been sitting in a barn for 18 years.
It’s a 1976 model, and it has a lot of potential.
Fortunately for the owner, the truck was in good condition, apart from the fact that it was obviously super dirty.
And you’ll never guess how much it’s potentially worth now.

This is a potentially valuable truck
The guys from the WD Detailing YouTube channel found an abandoned 1976 Ford F-250 Highboy in a remote barn in the middle of nowhere.
The owner got in touch with them because he finally decided he wanted to drive the truck again after 18 years.
“I bought the truck from my aunt when I was 18. I only paid $800 for it,” he explained.
The truck didn’t look too good, but that was just because of the dirt.
Everything still worked, and they even managed to start the engine pretty much on the first attempt.

A few days and a lot of elbow grease later, the truck looked as good as new.
Basically, in showroom condition, which also makes this truck potentially worth a good chunk of money.
Some examples even sell for six figures.
But that really doesn’t matter to the owner because he apparently doesn’t want to sell it.
As he explained to the WD Detailing guys in the video, the truck has ‘sentimental value’ because he rebuilt it with his dad all those years ago.

The timeline of the Ford F-250
Designed to be a bigger and more capable iteration of the F-150, the Ford F-250 was first introduced in the 1950s.
That’s not always the case in today’s automotive market, but when it comes to the Ford F-Series, a bigger number does coincide with a bigger truck, which explains the ‘250’ part of the name.
The Highboy – the model in question – was introduced a few generations later, in the 1960s, but for some reason, Ford discontinued it after just a decade.

They called it the Ford F-250 Highboy, but they could’ve called it the Tallboy.
As we can see from the video, this is a very tall truck.
The truck measures about 78-80 inches from ground to roof, which makes it just as tall as a modern-day Ford F-150.
And this one looks even taller than that because of its chunky tires.
Not bad for what was theoretically the second smallest Ford F-Series truck at the time.
