This 18-year-old Ohioan claims to have lived a past life, so he’s restoring a Studebaker to live more like his 1940s self.

Caden wanted a Studebaker Champion to be his daily driver.

But to live like it was the 1940s, his car would need to look like it hadn’t been sitting still since the 1940s.

So, he committed to giving the car a well-deserved overhaul.

The Ohioan fixing up a Studebaker to live more like his past life

Caden believes he lived a past life back in the 1940s.

To better live a 1940s lifestyle, he acquired a Studebaker Champion.

But before he could enjoy his new daily driver, it would need a thorough clean.

Whilst the exterior wasn’t looking too bad, the same couldn’t be said for the interior.

Rodents had made a home in there for a long while, which is never good – as the guys working on this Honda Acura NSX knew all too well.

Incidentally, the guys who worked on that Acura were also the ones fixing up Caden’s Studebaker.

So at least you know they had experience dealing with this type of thing.

There’s also rust across the dashboard and the seat fabric was in ruins.

But even after the cleaning was done with, there was still a lot left to do before the Studebaker could be drivable.

A new engine was in order, and the brakes needed some TLC.

Caden himself claimed to have previously lived as a Ford salesman in Montana back in the 1940s, before dying in a car accident in 1961.

Now, it’s way above our pay grade to judge whether or not somebody lived a past life.

But what we can say for certain is that this car would be a dream 1940s daily driver.

Classic cars deserve all the love they can get

Sure, there’s definitely something exciting about a new car release, we don’t deny that.

But let’s face it, there’s something about a classic car that just hits the spot.

And there’s tons of Studebakers out there that prove you can’t beat a classic.

This 1950 Studebaker Ice Princess is like the Jetsons on wheels, and do you honestly need anything more than that?

Then there was the 1961 Flamingo Studebaker Hawk which got a loving restoration.

And if you want a car that defies the passage of time, you couldn’t go wrong with this 1964 Daytona Convertible.

But as we all know, only Cher can turn back time – or failing that, her Mustang could.
