The Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR is one of the rarest cars ever produced.

The car was initially developed to compete in the brand-new FIA GT Championship in 1997.

As a result of homologation requirements, Mercedes-Benz built just 28 units of this street-legal hypercar.

And now, one of just six Roadsters has been filmed on the road.

Mercedes CLK GTR: one of the rarest hyper cars ever made

The Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR is as close to a GT track car that you can get.

Developed as a prototype for the 1997 GIA GT Championship, the car is an absolute monster on wheels.

The 6.9 liter V12, built and developed by AMG, produces an inhuman noise.

The engine is good for 0-60 in just 3.8 seconds.

The speed tops out at 205mph, which is absolutely incredible.

Despite there being 28 units, just six of those 28 are roadsters.

The roadster has a convertible roof, and was exclusively developed by HWA GmbH.

Now, one of those super rare six roadsters has been allowed to shine on the road.

A YouTube group, called Fastrrr, assembled to go on a convoy drive with a selection of supercars.

And among them, the rarest of the rare – a Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR AMG roadster, one of the six.

In fact, the car is so rare that it was delivered on a truck to the car meet.

One of the group films from a dark navy Bugatti Chiron as the CLK GTR performs a fly-by.

After a couple of junctions and red lights, the member of the group behind the wheel of the CLK GTR roadster hits the gas.

And boy, oh boy, does the CLK GTR absolutely fly.

You can hear the shifting of the flappy-paddle gearbox as the CLK GTR launches like a missile.

The noise of the 6.9 liter V12 is almost deafening (in the best way).

Regroup and review: channel blown away by CLK GTR roadster

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, the guys on the channel were utterly amazed by the car.

The group meets up at a very swanky mansion, before taking the CLK GTR roadster into a garage.

The guys marvel at the car, as well as it’s incredibly unique style.

After carefully removing the hood and surrounding bodywork, they marvel at the beastly engine.

This is a video more than worth watching. The Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR is as rare as it gets, and it’s great to see it being enjoyed the way it should be.
