A Californian man has found a one-owner Porsche 911 sports car that has a truly remarkable backstory.

Instagram user and car dealer Ali Khalil found an amazing Porsche 911, in incredible condition, that has been owned by the same man since he bought it new in 1978.

It’s been with the gentleman throughout his married life, and kept in a garage to ensure it stays in amazing condition…but it’s been a while since it was last out on the road.

There’s even some paperwork with the 911, and incredibly, the car was bought just over the road from where the man lives.

Why the one-owner Porsche 911 is being sold

Khalil asked the gentleman who owns the Porsche why he is selling it.

The simple answer is he no longer drives it, and doesn’t want the sports car to sit in his garage gathering dust.

However, it’s been kept with loving care for decades, and the current owner has it sheeted up.

Because the Porsche has been sleeping underneath a cover for many years now, it still looks fresh.

No damp or moisture has gotten into the sports car, and it looks to be rust-free.

In its deep shade of red, the 911 looks stunning.

The Porsche has been in the same family since 1978

Remarkably, the car has been with the same family since 1978.

The owner showed Khalil pictures of it with his wife, only a month or so after they bought the car.

With no kids or grandkids to pass the car on to, the time has come to sell it.

As it is in such good condition, any potential owner might be able to get away with minimal work on the car.

That’s one of the big advantages of the Porsche being stored properly, and not left outside.

In terms of its value, it could be worth a considerable amount of money.

Classic.com says the 1978 Porsche 911 has an average value of $82,734.

Its one-owner history and near-original condition could mean this is one very valuable sports car.
