The Dodge Charger is already an icon – but this ultra-rare big-block version just surfaced for an incredible price.
The model is one of just 753 big-block Chargers from 1970.
Like many vintage vehicles, the muscle car needs more than a lick of paint to take the road again.
It could, however, be a complete passion project for one gearhead.

Here’s what you need to know about Dodge Chargers
The Dodge Charger was first released in 1966 and spanned many generations.

Thanks to the age of many Chargers, some end up being forgotten about – which is exactly what happened to this example.
Over on Facebook, the owner is selling his rare 1970 Dodge Charger, which he claims is one of just 753 that were ever made.
The car is a base model XH VIN 1970 Dodge that was supposedly delivered with an E63 orange-painted four-barrel 383 engine.
Alongside the assistance of the automatic transmission, the car would have once been a dominating force on the road.
In terms of big-block Chargers, only 996 were reportedly made.
The condition of the muscle car
Now, as you can see from the listing pictures, the car isn’t exactly glistening in the sunshine with a squeaky clean interior.
The Charger has clearly been left to fend for itself in all kinds of weather conditions, and as a result, it looks worse for wear.
The seller explained that the fender and VIN tag are intact; however, the VIN number on the driver’s side trunk jam is nowhere to be seen, due to the rear of the car having been cut off.

Furthermore, the original engine, which would have made the Dodge even more sought after, has been replaced with a ‘basic blue 383 two-barrel engine’.
“This car is original EF8 green with green interior and black vinyl top and a/c,” further detailed the seller.
All that being said, though, this could be the ultimate fixer-upper, and the seller even has lots of various parts and glass, bar the windshield.
Also thrown into the package sale are a ‘fairly nice pair of solid doors’ and original trunk lids and bumpers.
This could be yours for a small sum of $4,500, which is around the price range of an old Toyota Corolla.
There is a slight catch of the car having no title, but the seller says this can be easily obtained from Classic Car Titles in Tennessee.
So, although the car is looking a bit sad and sorry for itself, with some TLC and heaps of time, it could be completely overhauled and live another life.
