The owner of this 1966 Oldsmobile F-85 drove it all the way from Atlanta to New Jersey in the 1980s and then abandoned it.
The Oldsmobile F-85 series was initially launched in 1961 with a production run that lasted until 1999.
This second-generation 1966 model was, for reasons unknown, driven from Atlanta, Georgia to New Jersey in 1980.
It then spent the next four decades parked in a garage until it was recently rescued and placed up for sale.

The 1966 Oldsmobile spent decades parked
There are few things more satisfying to car lovers than seeing an unloved and abandoned classic being given a new lease of life – such as this iconic 1988 Porsche 928 that was left outside for 15 years being completely restored, or the guy who got this decades-old classic motorcycle back to pristine condition.
And it seems it could now be this 1966 Oldsmobile F-85’s turn to get a complete overhaul.
The vehicle has been listed on eBay by seller Octanevalley who calls it a ‘project’ that ‘needs restoration’.
Firstly, a quick glance at the car will tell you that it requires some TLC.
But the seller does note that while it may have seen better days, the Oldsmobile is all original and ‘very solid’, which is a good start, right?
The vintage vehicle would make a neat restoration project
The F-85 has had two previous owners, who managed to put 119,000 original miles on the clock before it was parked for more than 40 years.
Its time off the road has taken its toll on the car and it appears to have patches of rust, there’s also some damage to the back bumper that was caused when removing the Oldsmobile from the garage.
The seller says the vintage vehicle has retained its original engine but that it no longer turns by hand, meaning anyone hoping to restore might decide to replace it rather than try and get it back up and running.
The car’s interior will also need a serious makeover to get it looking fresh again.
Here’s hoping it ends up with someone who will be able to restore this classic to its former glory.
