The UAE will be home to one of the world’s first flying cars, the PAL-V Liberty.
The Dutch-made flying car is set to take off by the beginning of 2027.
Back in March 2014, Dubai-based aviation company Aviterra signed a deal with PAL-V that included the purchase of over 100 Liberty vehicles.
And now we’re nearing very close to its take-off date.

The Hybrid flying car race
Great strides have been made in recent years to bridge the gap between cars and gyroplanes.
More companies are favoring innovation with minimal infrastructure, and PAL-V is determined to lead the charge.
In drive mode, the Liberty three-wheeled vehicle can reach a cool 100km in under nine seconds with a top speed of 160kmh.
According to the company, the aircraft also has a flight range of 400-500km, and a maximum speed of 180 kph at 11,000 feet altitude.

You can go from driving a road vehicle to flying a gyroplane in just five minutes, but it will come at a cost because the invention is not cheap.
The flying car is priced at $799,000.
Officials hail this as the future of flying
The hybrid car-hydroplane requires just 200 meters for takeoff and 30 meters for landing – making it adaptable to various locations.
“Its design specifically addresses desert conditions, avoiding the sand-blasting issues that plague traditional helicopters” Marco van den Bosch, Chief Commercial Officer of PAL-V said.

“If I have to go from the south to the north of Dubai, I can fly it in five minutes.”
Catering to high-net-worth clientele, corporations, and government bodies, the state of the art two-seater vehicle is tailored for border patrol, emergency response, and luxury transport.
Those who purchase will need to obtain both a driving and pilot license, with PAL-V putting in place specialized training hubs to support new owners.
