A tourist from North Carolina visiting Europe was surprised to discover a black and green Broward cop car parked up in an English town.

Rodney Price was traveling through the English town of Stevenage on a sightseeing trip when he spotted something unexpected.

Parked up in a parking lot was a Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) cruiser, still decked out with all the BSO livery.

Price was surprised to see the vehicle so far away from home, so he shared a snap on social media, which quickly gained a lot of attention.

The Broward cop car was spotted a long way from home

Of all things you might expect to see on a British sightseeing tour, a black and green Broward cop car isn’t one of them.

However, that’s exactly what Rodeny Price stumbled upon while out and about in Stevenage, England.

The car has a Pompano Beach tag and the motto ‘Pride in Service with Integrity’ on the side.

He took a snap of the BSO cruiser in a parking lot and shared it on Threads.

“I’m not sure [why] it’s here but a Broward County, Florida Sheriff car is something probably not seen physically in England very much,” he wrote.

Yep, you can probably say that’s pretty safe to say.

The post quickly picked up lots of attention from folks who were as baffled by the Broward cop car as Price.

“Somebody took the wrong exit off the Sawgrass,” one person joked.

“Someone had warrants out of Broward, so they went to pick ‘em up,” someone else joked.

BSO told WPLG that it was aware of the replica, but was not involved in it being overseas.

“There’s a group of car enthusiasts over in the UK, and this is something they do,” BSO spokesperson Veda Coleman-Wright said.

“Florida law says that whenever a law enforcement agency sells a vehicle at auction, all of the striping, the painting, the decals, the police lights — all of that police equipment has to be removed prior to the sell,” Coleman-Wright said.

Meaning that the UK-based owner will likely have had to restore the Broward cop car to how it once looked after purchasing it.

A Florida cop car was recently voted America’s best looking cruiser

While this Broward cop car might claim the title for the most well-traveled Florida police cruiser, it was a car belonging to the Florida Highway Patrol that recently won the title of America’s Best Looking Cruiser.

The C8 Corvette had been seized by cops back in April, and the force decided to hold onto the car and use it ‘to support the Florida Highway Patrol’s mission of keeping our roadways and highways safe’.

The competition saw 49 States face off in an online vote, with the Corvette being declared the winner after two weeks of voting.
