Ground staff performed a sweet gesture for a US pilot after he expertly landed a Boeing 757 on his final flight.

Pilot Jack Jessup retired in 2019 and was tasked with landing the 757 on his last ever flight.

After Jack nailed the landing, his co-pilot burst into applause and told him to ‘slow down, enjoy it’. Meanwhile, ground staff had their own touching tribute, and as Jack was taxiing the plane across the tarmac, they sprayed the plane with a water jet as a nod to his final flight.

A customary tribute for an incredible career – here’s hoping Jack is enjoying his retirement.
