This special Plymouth Fury MOPAR was left collecting dust with not a soul knowing its true worth for over 10 years.

That is, until this now – as an auto enthusiast has rediscovered the muscle car in all its glory.

Boasting original features and clearly well-loved, the car was a time machine.

And, in a twist, it was actually for sale for a smaller price than you’d expect.

The Plymouth Fury – a classic muscle car

Muscle cars come in all shapes and sizes, with Plymouth often setting the standard.

Originally coming into production in 1956, the Plymouth Fury was highly sought-after, especially the Street Wedge version, which made everyday driving an unforgettable experience.

Sadly, though, this particular car was mostly forgotten and left to its own devices, with enthusiasts clueless as to the true icon that was sitting pretty for decades on end.

Documented over on the Auto Archeology YouTube channel, one creator was amazed at what could be the find of the century.

Sat in a yard, the car was originally finished in ‘triple black’ design, and over the years, the different paint jobs consisted of a purple and red shell.

Luckily, though, original parts could still be seen.

Described as ‘rusty but complete’, the car had lots of vintage elements, including the original trim and even a MOPAR ignition line in the trunk.

“This thing is cool,” the creator further commented.

Inside, things got even more interesting with the ‘real money shot’ being the three pedals and four-speed transmission, and even though the seats weren’t quite original, they were still impressive.

Rescued by the current owner, they were looking to sell it on to someone who could give it the makeover it deserves.

Lashings of paperwork were also included, proving that the C body was the real deal.

The winning element was under the hood

If you weren’t already impressed by the exterior and cabin, then you’ll be amazed at this.

It turns out that the Plymouth Fury was powered by a unique engine combination.

The engine was none other than a 25-cubic-inch V8 wedge, and it was still together under the hood – an absolute rarity in this day and age.

According to the creator, the street wedge with the single four-bbl wasn’t readily available in C bodies.

“You are not going to see another one of these,” explained the creator.

As you can imagine, the car needs some serious TLC to get working again, but thanks to the base of a masterpiece still being largely intact, it would be a great passion project.

The 100,000 miles on the clock and the rich history of the Street Wedge Plymouth Fury being discontinued make this a chance that muscle fans cannot miss out on.

When the creator filmed the video, it was still for sale, but thanks to the super rare transmission and engine combo, we doubt it will be around for long, especially with a $10,000 asking price.
